Creating a MySQL Database and User in cPanel, which is included in all of GeniusHost.in hosting plans, can be easily accomplished. In order to create a MySQL database on your hosting account, you need to log in cPanel. This can be done by entering one of the following URLs in your web browser:

http://yourdomainname.com/cpanel

Enter your Cpanel Username & Password for Login in to Cpanel.

Once you’ve logged in, select MySQL databases from the list.

In order to create a new database you need to enter the desired name for the database in the New Database field and click on the Create Database button as shown below:

A confirmation screen will be displayed, informing that the database has been successfully created

Go Back and type in a Username and a Password into the relative fields and click the “Create User” button.

Once your Database and User have been created, you need to give that user permission to use that database. We do this by selecting the username we created from the drop down and the database we created from the drop down, Then click on “Add” button.

You will be redirected to a screen where you will be prompted to choose the desired privileges. It is advisable to select All Privileges and click on the Make Changes button:

That’s it. You’re now ready to use the MySQL database that you just created.
